  1. The screen saver screen colors are really messed up (like this)
    1. You are not running in a high or true color mode (32000 colors+). You can change this by:



    2. Right mouse button click on an open area on your desktop and select "Properties"
    3. Click on the "Settings" tab
    4. Change your "Colors" field to high or true color and press "OK"

    1. Right mouse button click on an open area on your desktop and select "Properties"
    2. Click on the "Screen Saver" tab
    3. Scroll through the "Screen Saver" field until you find "Bonfire99" and press "OK"

    1. Windows 2000 seems to have trouble rendering high or true color controls like icons. I'm researching this issue.

  6. How do I make a diskette version from the download version?
    1. Put a diskette in the diskette drive and format it.
    2. Double click on the archive
    3. Change the "Extract to" field to A: (or whatever your diskette drive letter is) and press "Ok"
    4. When it asks if you want to copy the screen saver press "No"
    5. Ignore the error message about the installation being cancelled
