Today Microsoft announced its Q2 2008 financial results.
Interestingly enough the XBox BU had its 3rd profitable quarter ever and the 1st back-to-back profitable quarter. They made $334m compared to $306m loss Q2 2007. Although the Halo 3 effect definitely had a big influence on this quarter this is enough of a jump to seem like more. Perhaps the rumors that Microsoft is finally profitable on the XBox hardware is true. This is the first time their financial data seems to support this.
Maybe they have finally figured how to out to make money on the thing.
This brings their net loss so far down to a mere $6.764 billion.
