Router #3 showed up Wednesday.
After running for 8 hours, like clockwork, it locked up. Called support; they elevated the incident and promised a callback within 24 hours. No callback so far.
However, I may have stumbled across the solution. Since they are now supposed to give me a new router I was looking at the newer models. I wanted to make certain that I was not getting the same problematic firmware.
While looking at the 160N (my 150N’s successor), I saw that it had the problematic firmware (1.01.9). However, there was a newer firmware (1.02.4). Looking at the release notes it indicated it was for the 150N 1.X/160N series of routers.
Figuring that I had nothing to loose I installed it. So far it’s been running 16 hours with no problems. I should have had two lockups at this point. If it keeps working until the end of the weekend I’m going to call it fixed.
