I guess the ~7000 blogspams posted over the last week and a half I just deleted means someone has defeated the capcha scheme I’ve been using :-)

  1. Still not understanding the allure to hosting your own blog. Blogspot’s free and my spam count is zero.

  2. At least they were easy to delete. It was a nice test of the software.

    It used to be cost and bad service from several shared hosting services.

    I also like the fact that I knew I owned everything and everything was backed up in one place.

    When I first evaluated them the various blogging services were god-awful. I know that has turned around in the last 5 years.

    However, since what I had worked well there has been little incentive to move off.

    With that being said, I’m moving away from self hosting.

    I just rehosted the last of my email from my own mail server to google apps last Sunday.

    Version 5 of CBD will most likely be on a blogging service when I get around to doing it.
